The Garmin InReach Mini 2 is a robust, small and lightweight GPS communication and navigation system. It is even the smallest GPS system offered by Garmin, measuring only 9.9 cm in height and 5.17 cm in width. Its weight of 100 grams makes it one of the lightest two-way satellite communication systems. It meets MIL-STD-810-G tests for shock and thermal shock resistance.
The InReach Mini 2 has two satellite devices. The first, GPS, allows you to receive data about your position or track your route. The second, IRIDIUM technology, allows you to receive and send messages, share your location and contact emergency services when you press the SOS button. You can also synchronise your device with your phone's contact list to reach anyone from anywhere.
When you go on an adventure with the InReach Mini 2, you get 100% global coverage, GEOS-managed SOS tracking, 30 days battery life (with tracking every 30 minutes) and you can quickly reassure your loved ones with real-time tracking.
The InReach Mini 2 also allows you to find weather forecasts for your location around the world, as well as for the future stages of your route. The Earthmate app allows you, when paired with your smartphone or tablet (Apple or Android), to have access to more detailed and unlimited maps and aerial views. You can store and plan your trips on the cloud. It is possible to send and receive InReach messages via compatible Garmin devices.
Compared to the InReach Mini, the Inreach Mini 2 is compatible with the Garmin Mobile Explore™ app and features the Tracback® Function, which gets you back to your starting point the same way you came there, handy if you're lost! The InReach mini 2 also features breadcrumb tracking.
The InReach Mini 2 becomes your antenna to stay connected to the rest of the world!
