The compass comes with a distance cord. This lanyard has two scales: 1:25 and 1:50, making it easy to measure the distance of your hike. Because it's flexible and foldable, it's easy to place directly on your route on the map.
Ranger Global features a DryFlex™ handle for easy handling and comes with a declination scale for use anywhere inside the capsule, a magnifying glass and a baseplate map measuring in mm and 1:25k, 1:50k scales.
The baseplate is curved at the back to fit snugly in the hand. The red/black north-south lines in the bottom of the capsule ensure easy and secure fitting.
The arrow and distinct graduations/markings in a clear contemporary font, combined with the high transparency of the baseplate, make navigation easy - when activated by light, the luminous markings enable night-time navigation.
The pointer is made from the finest Swedish steel with high-quality magnetic features.
